MontevinaではPenrynは現役で、それに加え新チップセットのCantia、WiMAXと無線LNAのコンボを実現するEchoPeakなどが必要要件となる。ちなみにチップセットのCantiaはDDR3をサポートするほか、DirectX10対応、VC-1/MPEG4のハードウエアデコードに対応しているという。
そして、製品としての発表は2008年第二半期、LV(低電圧版),ULV(超低電圧)は第3半期となる。
